It feels a bit odd walking Kimi without Jared...mostly because this dog is huge and she's not helping me feel that fantastic about my height. But she's too sweet, so that's okay. I just can't help but wonder if maybe Jared should have taken her with him...I'm sure he'll be fine without her, though. He'll only be gone for a few days.

[Emi hated the cold.

She thought the snow was pretty, yes, as Mexico did have its fair share of cold weather and snowfall. But that didn't mean she had to like it. Not now, anyway. Not when she was walking to the library, body fighting between the unwanted nip of the cold air and the uncomfortable, feverish heat that had engulfed her over night.
